I have read, reread and studied the reviews for the "Cuisinart DGB-500R Grind & Brew? 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker". It became apparent to me that folks just don't read the instruction first. If they did, there would be little cleaning, no leakage or any other of the listed problems. Cuisinart provides an easy to read, self explanatory instruction Booklet addressing all the complaints. It is just a matter of acquainting yourself with the instructions and then following them.
I love this Brew and Grind machine. It is not only great looking, but has all the" bells and whistles" a good coffee maker should have for the perfect brew. It is programmable for time settings, desired grind time, length of time from 1 to 4 hours to keep hot on warmer and digital clock. Has a 1 to 4 cup button for those who don't want a full pot. It displays a very good looking digital face with easy to understand buttons for quick operation. It is by far the best brew and grind combination coffee maker out there, in my layman's opinion.
