This is my second food processor, same model, gave my other to my son. Was priced the best on amazon!! Retail stores didn't even carry this model. The shoot on this one is easy to use.

The ultimate chef's assistant! Cuisinart's 7-cup processor can chop 1 pound of meat, knead 1.5 pounds of dough, and perform many other preparation functions including slicing, dicing and shredding. In addition, its one-finger pulse control means it's easy to use, too. Lexan work bowl holds 1.5 quarts. Model DLC-5. Manufacturer's limited warranty.With its 7-cup work bowl, 600 watts of power, and slicing and shredding discs, this food processor is ideal for most households. It kneads 1-1/2 pounds of bread or pastry dough, chops 1 pound of meat, emulsifies a perfect mayonnaise or salad dressing, and chops, slices, or shreds vegetables, nuts, cheese, and bread crumbs. The plastic work bowl is shatterproof and resists both heat and cold. A single fingertip control turns the processor on and off and pulses for precise work. All parts go safely into the dishwasher. With work bowl in place, the processor measures 7 by 12-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches. It carries a five-year warranty against motor defects and a three-year warranty against other defects. --Fred Brack
