After becoming a bit addicted to Panera Bread's Turkey paninis, I decided it would be better for our budget to buy our own panini press and make our own paninis! Wow am I glad we did! We have a big family and we have a large griddle, so we don't need a panini press that multi-tasks. We just want a basic panini press that makes great panini sandwiches. This press is it! You plug it in, wait for the light to turn green and you are ready to make your own incredible paninis. I like that the temperature is pre-set, so my family and I can't accidently mess that up. Our oldest daughter even takes a panini, slightly cooled and wrapped in foil, to school for lunch. They aren't hot but are still warm and she loves them. You just can't go wrong with this press. It's basic and does what it's meant to do-make a great panini!Customer Review: Great product

I love sandwiches. My typical lunch that I take to work is a turkey sandwich on 100% whole wheat with veggies. While it tastes good, it does not compare to a hot and crispy panini made on this grill. My wife and I have starting eating panini sandwiches once a week for dinner.
The great thing is that there are so many different variations- one day you can do a spicy veggie hoagie with hot peppers and mustard; another day you can do an italian ciabatta sandwich with fresh pesto. And the crispy texture just makes everything taste better, without adding any calories or fat. Grilled Cheeses are amazing using this thing.
If you tend to coat the outside of your sandwich with butter or margarine, try using extra virgin olive oil instead. It tastes just as good, and is much healthier.
The unit is also easy to clean. And the lack of a power switch isn't a problem at all for us. At this price, this is a must-have tool for your kitchen.

Love the results--excellent panini's, and surprised how much we use the machine. Plan to give as gift to family members when we visit as it seems a bit of a luxury to have this piece of equipment, but now that we have it, it seems a necessity and how did we manage without.
