I love this machine for panini, BUT I expected it to also work like my George Foreman to do things like chicken breasts so I could eliminate the Foreman grill and have only one counter top appliance. I had problems with getting the grill to drain properly with chicken breasts. Also unlike the foreman grill that you can clean immediately after use, you really have to remove the plates to clean it properly and they are too hot to do that immediately. I tend to forget to clean it until its next use if I don't clean it right away and that is disgusting. Customer Review: Fair Griddler, Terrible - Rude Service

We bought this griddler in December 2007. With in the month, the coating on the grills was flaking off.
3 months later, a small cover over the bottom electrical entrance fell off. The mounting part of the plastic has broken due to undue pressure from wires crammed into the compartment.
2 calls to Cuisinart service proved that they are rude and uncaring about their customers. They were unable to understand that the part could just "break" due to a manufacturing defect and accused us of damaging the unit ourselves!
They said they would take a look at the griddler if we would pay the shipping "BOTH WAYS" plus a $10 handleing! Is that stupid or what! If the unit was a couple years old, I would accept that, but for a new appliance it's not acceptable.
If you buy this item, plan on not only eating the food you cook on it, but the appliance as well if it breaks!
We have bought Cuisinart for years, however recent dealings with the company has placed suspicion that the business is destroying itself.

This product will meet and exceed your expectations, especially if you've bought competitors products and were disappointed. This was my third try with a product of this nature, but the third time was a charm. This product is well constructed, works the way it's designed to and does everything as promised. I had tried a Foreman Grill first on the recommendation of some friends who loved theirs, but I thought it was a waste of money and didn't care for how my food cooked and tasted in it. Then I tried a Wolfgang Puck product that was supposed to do what this product does, but was terrible. The plates wouldn't stay in and the product just didn't work well. It was junk and I returned it. Why I didn't buy this product first, I'm not sure. I own several Cuisinart products and love them for their quality, consistency, look and durability. And this product is no exception. It may be a few dollars more than the competitors products, but it is so worth it. Customer Review: Boy that bugger gets HOT!!!!!!!

This pannini press is the answer to all your pannini dreams this bugger gets so hot so fast you wont even have time to answer the phone! Unless you want to! it has a very nice temp control! It makes very nice grill marks and the griddle feature is very nice as well It has ample cooking surface because it can lie flat! If you are a grilled cheese fan Better hold yourself back. IT DOES STEAKS that are flavorful and moist & Veggies TO!
