This is my first mesh filter, I bought it with a 4-cup Cuisinart coffee maker. The filter works great and maybe makes a better cup of coffee; it's hard to tell, it's about the same as paper filters I think, which is good.
Note that the metal mesh filter must be cleaned or rinsed, and it takes more water than I thought to rinse it out and get all the grinds out of the mesh. Not a problem, just something to note for those trying to save water. I wonder what the economics or environmental difference is between using paper and using more water to clean this out.
But overall, I'm expecting it to last for a long, long time and it works good.

I much rather this over the papers. no more needing buy a pack of filters.... personally this will start saving me money within 6 months. I was also told that the coffee will taste better because the oils from the beans are not absorbed in the filter like with paper ones and it might just be in my head but i find it does really taste better!Customer Review: Simplicity

I really like this product. It is easy to use and clean and it saves me some money. I especially like the fact that I do not have to worry about running out of disposable filters anymore. Very easy to use, very easy to clean, very happy with the results. It's so nice knowing that I'll never have to go without my coffee because I forgot to buy paper filters. Very much worth the investment, especially since I got such a good price. Thank You Amazon once again!
