Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart KUA-17 1-3/4-Quart Cordless Automatic Electric KettleCustomer Review: "Da Bomb!!!" Summary: 5 StarsIt is FAST, attractive, and does what it's meant to do quite reliably...'keeps you from overboiling the water, which is essential in tea-making. If you have hard water, I suggest distilled or reverse-osmosis water like you can get at the supermarket's vending machines: this keeps the innards tidy(no scale to deal with), and ensures a great-tasting cup of tea, or French-pressed coffee, or even Top-Ramen etc.
This was given to me as a gift almost 3 years ago, and I can't imagine how I ever did without it: if it were lost, stolen or ceased to function, I would be truly sad, and I would unflinchingly and immediately replace it.
Customer Review: fell in love while housesitting Summary: 5 StarsI found this pot on a friends counter while housesitting last week and am now ordering one for myself! Attractive and extremely quick. I drank more tea last week than I think I did my whole life.
Customer Review: BEST KETTLE BY FAR; BIG TEA DRINKER Summary: 5 StarsOK now you can stop shopping because you have found the best kettle. I have had 4 diffent (one was a very expensive european brand) over the past decade and this is the best by far. Some people said the handle fell off when it was hot. This may be perhaps because the person overfilled the kettle. The kettle shows a line where one is to fill it to a maximum. I think it is perfect.
Customer Review: Metal Kettle Summary: 4 StarsIf you're looking for an electric kettle with an all-metal interior, this kettle is almost perfect. However, there are two tiny piece of plastic that have been inserted into the interior of this kettle to indicate what is the maximum amount of water that the kettle can contain. This is the only plastic that is used inside this kettle (no plastic bolts or screws, the lid underside is even metal). The good news is that these little pieces of plastic are easy to remove from the kettle, solving the issue entirely.
Customer Review: Cuisanart teapot's hot Summary: 5 StarsFor what's it's worth. I have had two. The first June '97 and the 2nd Dec 2002. Both times when it died it was kind of a shock. I use it to make a pot of tea a day and various times to make coffee. I like the way the older '97 model poured faster. I'm getting another today.
