Customer Review: Excellent Cooking, Fiddly Controls

This little oven will bake cookies, toast various items, and generally work exactly as it should. My only complaint is with the buttons. Who ever heard of a toaster requiring you to hit more than one button to start toasting? Even odder, there's a timer but you can't use it just to time something else in the kitchen. I only works when you use the oven. Still, these are minor and this device works much better than others we have had before.

Cuisinart's Exact Heat Sensor lets you choose function and temperature, and then rely on the oven to tell you when food is ready. You can also choose to cook with the timer, according to your needs.
The convection option on the oven (which uses a fan to circulate heat for even temperatures and moist results) is great for everything from roast meats to chocolate cake. Conventional baking on this model works just like a full-sized oven, while the broiling feature lets you broil steaks and fish or brown the tops of casseroles. The oven is preprogrammed for simple toasting but accommodates customized settings for lighter or darker results, bagels or English muffins, or four to six slices at a time.
