Customer Review: Doesn't fit any of my sauce pans

I love the cusinart multiclad line and own quite a few peices, but I was disspointed when I got this pan and discovered that it only fits in the 2 3/4 sauce pan. I own 3 multiclad sauce pans and none of them are that size, so now I'm going to have to shell out 50+ dollars for the 2 3/4 sauce pan just to be able to use this pan. I can't make any comments on it preformance, but I'm sure if it anything like my other multiclad peices, that it won't let me down. Just make sure you own (or are prepared to purchase) the 2 3/4 sause pan before buying this one.
Description of Cuisinart TPC111-18 MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel Double Boiler
Designed for serious cooks, Cuisinart's MultiClad stainless pots and pans heat quickly and uniformly thanks to an aluminum core bonded between layers of 18/10 stainless steel. The core runs across the bottoms and all the way up the sides of the cookware to disperse heat evenly throughout food. The nonreactive interior layer is highly polished so it's naturally stick-resistant as well as resistant to discoloration and corrosion. A polished band just below each pan's rim handsomely accents the brushed exterior.Ideal for cooking up to 2-1/2 quarts of delicate sauces and melting chocolate, this double boiler fits into any MultiClad stainless pan that measures either 7 or 7-1/2 inches in diameter. Highly polished, it's made of 18/10 stainless steel and has a sturdy handle riveted for strength and a tapered rim for drip-free pouring.
