I recently received this adorable mini-food processor for Christmas as a gift. I love cooking but I hate the time that I waste on chopping up herbs, garlic, and whatever that can be chopped (like bread). Although I already own a mini-food processor, it really lacked the power that this model has. Plus the bowl on this processor is bigger, allowing me to make more marinades, sauces, bread crumbs, etc...etc... than my previous processor could. I think the blade on my old processor was getting dull anyways. I had that thing for almost five years now. It was time for a new model. Even though the new model is noisier, it does get the job done. I haven't tried chopping nuts yet with this but I really like what it does with garlic and fresh herbs. I make a lot of marinades and this is the perfect tool to use for making marinades and/or sauces. Since I live by myself in a dinky one-bedroom apartment with not a whole lot of space, this mini-food processor is perfect for folks like myself.

The auto-reversing SmartPower Blade feature and chop/grind touchpad control let you chop or grind ingredients instantly at the touch of a button. Powerful chopper/grinder Chop or grind at the touch of a button Exclusive auto-reversing SmartPower Blade feature suits your basic food processing and chopping needs.This little 250-watt workhorse comes in handy when a full-size food processor is unnecessary. The 3-cup work bowl is just right for making pesto or a salad dressing, and 2 receptacles in the lid have pinholes for 1 or 2 oils to stream into the bowl while the processor is blending a perfect emulsion. It's also ideal for chopping and grinding. Pressing the "chop" button deploys the sharp edge of Cuisinart's patented reversible blade to chop onions, herbs, or bread crumbs. Pressing the "grind" button whirls the blade in the other direction so its blunt side can grind nuts, coffee beans, or cheese. Compact at just 9 inches high and lightweight (it has a plastic body), the Mini Prep Plus can be tucked away in a cabinet, and the little spatula accompanying it goes into a drawer.
