I have no complaints about this mixer. And I LOVE the count up feature! Without it I use to guess at how long I had been mixing and it is evident that I wasn't mixing long enough before.It is weighty-but I've found that all the quality ones are.
Clean up is easy, the low speed enables you to control splatter when lifting the mixer out. It's high speeds are loud, but very powerful!
Also, don't fear the reconditioned. Cuisinart is quality and does a great job making sure that their products stand up to their name. I have bought this mixer and the reconditioned ice cream maker and have had no problems.

Packing 220 watts and electronically programmed to deliver extra power when it's needed, this hand mixer is powerful enough to cut through butter straight from the refrigerator. So recipes can be followed precisely, the mixer counts the mixing time automatically and displays the time on the same LCD panel that shows the mixer's speed. A thumb control atop its comfortable handle offers nine speeds, including three low settings for careful control when folding or mixing dry ingredients. At all speeds, the mixer speeds up gradually to eliminate splattering. Its dishwasher-safe, stainless-steel beaters are extra large for speedy mixing. It includes a 3-inch-diameter whisk for better aeration of egg whites and whipped cream and a cord that swivels and rotates for both left- and right-handed use.
