Wow. This is a great buy. This cleaver has the weight, balance and construction quality of a knife costing 3 or 4 times as much as this one. Full tang, heavy weight, high quality steel, full/thick handle & nicely sharpened right out of the package.
We have a full selection of Wusthof and/or Henckels chef knives and this cleaver rivals their quality and performance. We decided to buy this knife based off our previous experience with Farberware Pro steak knives and we are happy with this addition to our knife block.
We would buy this product again or recommend it to a friend.

Farberware Pro Stainless Steel 6" Cleaver has sleek, comtemporary stainless steel handles with sculpted bolsters to provide balance and control while chopping or cutting. The knife is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the edges.An ergonomically designed stainless-steel handle gives this heavy-duty meat cleaver a decidedly contemporary look. The six-inch cleaver from the Farberware Pro Stainless collection features a high-carbon, stainless-steel, full-tang blade with a precision-ground edge that chops through hard vegetables and quarters poultry with ease. The sculpted bolster on the handle provides good balance and control for those tough kitchen jobs, and there are no rivets to break or collect food particles.
A full range of Farberware Pro Stainless mid-price, sharp-edge cutlery is available to add zing to the modern kitchen. Though dishwasher-safe, Farberware recommends that the cleaver and all the stainless-handled knives are washed and dried by hand.
